D M Wood Medical can now provide first aid training at our dedicated training centre in our offices at Dyce, Aberdeen. We can accommodate all your first aid training needs with courses running several times a month at our training centre or by having our qualified trainers come to your premises.
FIRST AID AT WORK
3 Day First Aid at Work
This course will give you knowledge and confidence to treat accident casualities and those suffering sudden illness at work. A practical and oral examination certificate will be awarded to successful candidates and this is valid for 3 years.
2 Day First Aid at Work
This course is for applicants currently holding a First Aid Certificate that is due to expire. It refreshes your knowledge of first aid, remaining confident to treat accident casualities and those suffering sudden illness at work. A practical and oral examination certificate will be awarded to successful candidates and this is valid for 3 years.
1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work
This course will give you knowledge and confidence to take charge in an emergency accident or sudden illness situation at work.
HYDROFLUORIC ACID TREATMENT
This course provides applicants with the confidence to recognise and treat casualities suffering hydrofluoric acid burns using Calcium Gluconate Gel and/or Hexaflourine.
AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION
Applicant become confident and proficient in the use of life saving AED equipment for the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest.
OXYGEN ADMINISTRATION
For sites with oxygen in situ this course provides first aiders with the knowledge of how to correctly administer oxygen therapy.
Courses are also available in Manual Handling and treating Biohazards from Body Fluids.
