D M Wood Medical is one of the UK's leading distributors of medical equipment and supplies, serving both the public and private sectors.

The company

We started life as a community pharmacy business more than 30 years ago. During the 1970s and 80s it expanded its operations to meet the medical needs of the North Sea oil and gas industry and is now the clear market leader in the sector.

In the 1990s, D M Wood Medical widened its operations throughout the whole UK serving occupational health departments in organisations ranging from car manufacturers to sports facilities. It also started to work with the Primary Care sector and now includes around one-third of the UK's GP practices amongst its client base.

Today D M Wood represents many of the world's leading medical equipment manufacturers and carries an inventory of more than 10,000 products including pharmaceuticals, surgical dressings, diagnostic equipment, surgery furniture and a wide range of high-tech medical devices.

The company started trading online in 1999. The site has been improved several times to include more information on products and deliver secure, quick and efficient access to D M Wood's entire product range.

D M Wood Medical takes great pride in offering a full service for customers. This includes offering free training on certain products by our sales representatives. Our 2 field engineers service and repair Laerdal manikins on-site.

Evac+ Chair

We are the Scottish distributor for the Evac+ Chair – the World’s No 1 Stairway evacuation chair. Before the purchase of a chair we offer a site inspection to help with decisions on location of chairs and to meet Health and Safety and Fire Regulations. Certified Training courses are available. An annual maintenance contract can also be set up for the chair or servicing is available on request.
