D M Wood Medical is one of the UK's leading distributors of medical equipment and supplies, serving both the public and private sectors.
The company started life as a community pharmacy business more than 25 years ago. During the 1970s and 80s it expanded its operations to meet the medical needs of the North Sea oil and gas industry and is now the clear market leader in the sector.
In the 1990s, D M Wood Medical widened its operations throughout the whole UK serving occupational health departments in organisations ranging from car manufacturers to sports facilities. It also started to work with the Primary Care sector and now includes around one-third of the UK's GP practices amongst its client base.
Today D M Wood represents many of the world's leading medical equipment manufacturers and carries an inventory of more than 12,000 products including pharmaceuticals, surgical dressings, diagnostic equipment, surgery furniture and a wide range of high-tech medical devices.
The company started trading online in 1999 and this new website has built on this experience.
